Annapolis Apologetics Seminar with Pastor Gerry Miller

Satan's attack on the Church and people of God began in the garden with his attack on Scripture. "Did God Say?" He has not changed his strategy. What is painful to witness is how few followers of Jesus know how to defend the authority of Scripture against some of the common criticisms: "The Bible has been corrupted in transmission over the years!" "God has changed his mind about many things, just look how different the Old Testament God is from the New Testament God Jesus portrays."
"The Bible has some good teachings (Do unto others...), but most of it is not relevant to our culture today." "Authority has to do with the possession of a rightful power. Authority, including the Authority of Scripture, can be embraced or resisted. Those who resist the Authority of Scripture offer numerous reasons for doing so. But are those "reasons" reasonable? There are also good reasons to embrace Scriptural Authority, including a long-list of God's own provisions to ensure the faithful transmission of those remarkable books which compose our Old and New Testaments. While joyfully embracing the Authority of Scripture, in the end, is always a matter of God-given faith, there are also numerous things that give support to such a joyful embrace." (Gerry Miller)
