Series: Rediscovering the Ministry of the Holy Spirit

Life as a disciple of Jesus Christ is impossible without the Holy Spirit. Yet, in some circles the Holy Spirit is overemphasized while in others He’s largely ignored. As a result, many lack the understanding and power to live as faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus. Pastor Josh Moody provides much needed clarity on what the Bible reveals about the Holy Spirit. He stresses the necessity of the Spirit’s indwelling presence to empower us for obedient living and effective ministry. He addresses key topics such as the nature and work of the Holy Spirit as well as prayer in the Spirit, revival, spiritual gifts, and tensions between the rational world and spiritual experiences. Pastor Josh Moody is the Senior Pastor at College Church in Wheaton, IL.

Josh grew up south of London in England, became a follower of Jesus in the Church of England, was an undergraduate at Cambridge University where he was president of the Cambridge Inter-Collegiate Christian Union. He served as the college pastor at Eden Baptist Church in Cambridge, England, did pioneer mission work in the former Soviet Union countries of Georgia and Azerbaijan, and was senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in New Haven. He is married to Rochelle and they have four children.
