Spiritual Mentoring: How to Help Others Grow in Their Relationship with Christ with Tom Schwanda

Scripture demonstrates the importance of wise companions and caring persons to guide and encourage our growth in Christ.  This training will assist you to develop and further practice your skills and abilities to mentor others in their relationships.  These sessions include presentations on some of the significant principles of mentoring including listening, asking questions, discernment, and how to develop a mentoring relationship.  Whether you are experienced or simply curious about mentoring, this seminar offers helpful insights for you to use in your daily Christian life.

Tom Schwanda is associate professor of Christian Formation and Ministry, Wheaton College and also teaches Christian spirituality in the Doctor of Ministry program at Fuller Theological Seminary.  He also served as pastor in three churches for eighteen years.  Tom is a trained spiritual director and has taught courses on mentoring at Wheaton as well as other colleges.
