Details: “Conversations that Count” will help women at whatever stage or position in life (single, married, divorced, with kids, without kids, working in the business world, government, military or inside the home or both) to thoughtfully share their faith and give reasonable answers for what they believe. This conference, led by gifted women apologist, will explore the unique challenges faced by Christian women and will include the following topics: Faith and Truth, Why Trust the Bible, How Can God Allow Suffering?, Evidences for God, Is Christianity Oppressive or Liberating for Women?
is the Europe/Middle East Director for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, and Director of Programs for the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). She has written two books exploring key questions in apologetics: Why Trust the Bible? and But Is It Real?. Also, with her husband, Frog, she has published Holy Warriors: A Fresh Look at the Face of Extreme Islam and Deep. Amy has contributed to the books, Beyond Opinion, God and the Generations and Worth Knowing: Wisdom for Women.
Amy speaks and lectures on Christian Apologetics worldwide, at events such as Keswick and Alpha International. She also speaks on University campuses including Oxford, Cambridge, Vienna, and Hong Kong. Amy has been invited to speak in the White House, and on Capitol Hill, as well as the Speakers Rooms in the UK Parliament. Amy and her husband Frog serve in a church in Buckinghamshire called Latimer Minster, which they helped plant in 2010.
Jana Harmon will be our Emcee for this event, a Christian apologist who is a Teaching Fellow for C.S. Lewis Institute-Atlanta. Jana is completing her doctoral work at the University of Birmingham in England, researching the dynamics involved when atheists come to faith in Christ.
