Meditating on God's Word - Part Two

Though for many people today the word "Meditation" connotates an eastern practice akin to yoga and the Hindu and Buddhist traditions, we as Christians are encouraged to meditate on God's Word. Places like Psalm 1:1-2 even say that, "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night." In this audio lecture, Thomas Tarrants shares about the importance of meditating on God's Word so that we may know God more.

Author, President Emeritus, CSLI

Thomas A. Tarrants is President Emeritus of the C.S. Lewis Institute. After serving twelve years as president and nine years as vice President, he retired from his position as Vice President for Ministry and Director, Washington Area Fellows Program, with CSLI in June 2019. He holds a Masters of Divinity Degree, as well as a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Christian Spirituality. Tom is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Church Alliance and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. He spends his time writing, mentoring, consulting and traveling.
