The C. S. Lewis Institute maintains good working relationships with many churches in the Washington, D.C. area, recognizing the complementary nature of our work. Additionally, Institute programs have been developed and evaluated in consultation with pastors and other church leaders.

Our Pastors' Fellowship program, intended to Serve God's Servants, sponsors special gatherings during the year and additional resources are made available to assist pastors in their ministry---especially with theological and apologetic issues and growing disciples in their congregations.

Applicants to the C.S. Lewis Fellows Program must receive a recommendation from their pastors, and the pastors are invited to nominate candidates for the program each year. Conference speakers are selected in consultation with area pastors, and a number of the pastors with Ph.D. degrees offer seminars and mini-courses from time to time.

Meeting facilities for large conferences as well as small groups have been provided without cost to the Institute by several participating churches, and some provide direct financial support for Institute's work.

  • Remembering Chuck Colson
We at the C.S. Lewis Institute give thanks to God for the life of our dear friend and brother, Chuck Colson. He was a great example of wholehearted commitment to Christ and His kingdom for people around the world. And he was also great encourager of our work over the years, as a friend, advisor, and in other ways. Our prayers are with Patty and the family during this difficult time. And with them we carry on in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection. Until then, we continue, as Chuck did, to run with perseverance the race that is set before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.Read More...

"There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them."
