A Workshop for Pastors

The pathway of leadership is dangerous and difficult. This is doubly true for the person in ordained ministry. It is our observation, after years of serving in areas of ministry, and dealing with ministers and churches, that the average minister is:

  • Highly committed.
  • Confused by unrealistic expectations of others.
  • Overwhelmed and frightened by incomprehensible conflict.

Here are some troubling statistics:

  • 46% left the ministry due to a conflict in vision between themselves and their church
  • 38% due to personality conflict with board members
  • 32% due to unrealistic expectations being placed on them
  • 24% due to lack of clear expectations
  • 21% due to theological differences

We have a different view. This workshop is about surviving and thriving in the places to which God has called you to minister.
