The Tragedy of Liturgy in Protestantism

Liturgy simply means order of worship; it provides for a meeting between God and His people. However, according to Woltertorff, today in many protestant churches there is little sense of liturgy. Liturgy dates back to the earliest church when believers met in the upper room to give thanks and to break bread and drink the cup, “to do this in remembrances of me”. In this stimulating lecture Woltertorff calls for a renewal of the mindfulness of liturgy in the worship of God.

This is a Legacy Audio recording drawn from a collection of free audio resources over the last 30+ years featuring themes which are still relevant today. Due to the archival nature of the recordings, some of the audio content may not be up to today's digital standards, but nonetheless, the content is still applicable.
