A Christian Response to African Traditional Religion is an event aimed at equipping believers to engage thoughtfully and biblically with African Traditional Religion (ATR).

As the influence of ATR on cultural identity, social values, and spiritual perspectives in Kenya and across the continent continues to gather momentum, Christians are called to understand its beliefs and practices to respond with grace, truth, and love.

This free event will explore the intersections between ATR and the Christian faith, offering practical insights on how to share the gospel effectively while respecting cultural heritage and addressing the spiritual questions ATR seeks to answer.

Benson Weru Maina serves as the Youth Pastor at Kahawa Sukari Baptist Church. He also holds a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership from the Global Academy for Transformational Leadership (2021). Benson has previously served with Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) as a Pastor in-Training and with Campus Crusade for Christ (LIFE Ministry Kenya) as a missionary and Director of Leadership Development. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya, with his wife Lynette and their two daughters, Jeanne and Zera.
