C.S. Lewis for Our Troubled World

with Dr. Randy Newman

“My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.” (Mere Christianity)

The creator of Narnia and author of dozens of Christian books, C. S. Lewis, may have much to say to us in today's world that faces troubles in many directions. Lewis gave up belief in God when his mother died when he was only 10 years old. He came back to God after much suffering, serving and being wounded  in WWI and later experiencing  the devastating bombings of England by the Nazis in WWII. Lewis’s writings are filled with hope without ignoring the realities of life’s difficulties. His own story of coming to faith shed light on how the Christian message offers great help for this life and confidence in the next.

In this interactive pre-recorded session, Dr. Randy Newman highlights four lessons from C.S. Lewis for our current times.
