Fellowship, Growth, and Discipleship in Christ

Thank you to everyone at the CSLI 2019/20 Fellow’s year for your fellowship, encouragement and partnership in discipleship. Highlights included the ‘getting to know folks’ evening; the weekend retreat at Murlough weekend; starting to build ‘body’ relationships; and to absorb helpful ‘devotional theology’ style teaching. The reading material has been especially helpful - many ‘articles’ aimed at developing a closer walk with God, and my first time reading of Bridges’ ‘Transforming Grace’ & (surprisingly to me) Billy Graham’s ‘The Holy Spirit’ were fresh, clear and very encouraging. Too many highlights to list really. The discipline of the expected monthly ‘studies’ was stretching, yet achievable. God graciously used the Bible Study passages. Great to be reminded again (as we all need to be) of the sections to encourage deeper thinking on many key Scripture passages. Great to be reminded again (as we all need to be) of the key ‘living’ components of a real, lively, effective Christian life. The monthly triad and mentor meetings allowed friendships to develop that God willing will continue on a mutually encouraging basis into the future. Walking together with Christ, letting others be a servants, and letting them be ’as Christ to me’ has been central to the Fellow’s Year. Many thanks again; grace and peace in Him.
