The C.S. Lewis Institute in Annapolis seeks to reach people in every sphere of life. Taking part in CSLI events, followers of Jesus are motivated to be dedicated disciples and become mentors, teachers, lay leaders, clergy, i.e. ambassadors for Jesus. They learn to put nationalism, denominationalism, and any other person, institution, or thing that competes for Jesus' right to rule in our hearts at His feet, so that He may reign supreme over all we are and do!
We ask for your prayers as we strive to adopt George Muller's approach to ministry, that is: to do only what Jesus has ordained, only where He ordains it, and using only the resources He has provided so that "this ministry will bear witness to the fact that there is reality in dealing with God alone."
The Fellows Program
The CSLI Fellows Program offers a year of intensive training that leads to significant life-change. Unlike many discipleship programs, the Fellows program focuses on discipleship of both heart and mind. It involves Bible study, classic readings, lectures, group processing, personal spiritual mentoring and accountability — all in the context of a small group of like-minded believers. This year-long program is designed for those who want to live as fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ and make an impact for him in the world.

Jim Phillips
CSLI City Director, Annapolis & Senior Fellow for Cross-Cultural DiscipleshipJim Phillips founded the C.S. Lewis Institute in Annapolis, Maryland in 2009 and is currently a Senior Fellow helping facilitate the discipleship of Believers in Christ from non-Western cultural backgrounds. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After graduation he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an AV-8A Harrier pilot and in the corporate world as an information technology executive. He received an MLA from St. John’s College, Annapolis, Maryland, a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology and Religion, Oxford University, UK, and a PhD in Islamic Studies from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies/Middlesex University, Oxford, UK.
