Melissa Rising serves as the CSLI Williamsport Satellite Fellows program facilitator. She received a B.S. in Nursing from Robert’s Wesleyan University and pursued a career in law in Washington, D.C. Melissa also served as a short-term missionary nurse in Senegal, West Africa. Having retired from nursing after working in various positions, Melissa volunteered as co-founder of a support group for parents with disabled children, Court Appointed Special Advocate, and facilitator for GriefShare ministry. She completed the CSLI Fellows Program in Central PA, served as a mentor, and participated in the Inklings group and looks forward to coming alongside other “thirsty” followers of Christ, fostering their discipleship in heart and mind.
