Daniel Gilman is a PhD candidate in history at the University of Cambridge. He received an MA in History, explored the theological underpinnings of William Wilberforce’s advocacy to abolish the slave trade. Daniel also received an Honours BA in History and Philosophy at the University of Ottawa. He is co-convenor for the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of History Workshop on Memory and Emotions and writes for Doing History in Public.
