William L. Kynes

William L. "Bill" Kynes is the Senior Fellow for Pastoral Theology at the C.S. Lewis Institute, and retired Senior Pastor of Cornerstone, an Evangelical Free Church, in Annandale, VA, where he served from 1986 - 2022. He majored in Philosophy at the University of Florida, where he also played quarterback and was later inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame. He attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, receiving an MA in theology. He received an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, before returning to England for a PhD in New Testament from Cambridge University.

SpeakerChris Morris, Speaker, is Chairman of the Board of Directors at C.S. Lewis Institute and COO of Bonaventure, an alternative investment manager and real estate investment firm. Formerly he worked at MPact Partners, a strategy, operations and finance consulting firm. . He has a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford University.

Pastor
William Fullilove is a pastor, professor, and author. He currently serves as the Executive Pastor of McLean Presbyterian Church in McLean, Virginia, where he also teaches courses for the Capital Fellows program and leads The Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation, and Culture. He also serves as the Dean of Students and Professor of Old Testament for Reformed Theological Seminary in New York City. Previously, Bill earned a B.A. from Princeton before working for Oliver Wyman & Co. as a management consultant. After feeling called to ministry, he received his M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, and he earned a Ph.D. in Semitic and Egyptian Languages and Literature at The Catholic University of America.

Lynne Marie Kohm serves as the John Brown McCarty Professor of Family Law at Regent University School of Law. She is the author of the books Estate Planning Success for Women and The Christian Guide to Wills, Living Trusts and Estate Planning. Her professional affiliations include and have included the Virginia State Bar Family Law Section Board of Governors, Virginia Bar Association Domestic Relations Council, Christian Legal Society, American Bar Association, Eagle Forum, Alliance Defense Fund, Concerned Women for America, and Bethany Christian Services. She and her husband have two children.

Thomas A. Tarrants

Thomas A. Tarrants is President Emeritus of the C.S. Lewis Institute. After serving twelve years as president and nine years as vice President, he retired from his position as Vice President for Ministry and Director, Washington Area Fellows Program, with CSLI in June 2019. He holds a Master's of Divinity Degree, as well as a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Christian Spirituality. Tom is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Church Alliance and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. He spends his time writing, mentoring, consulting and traveling. His life story is told in Consumed by Hate, Redeemed by Love, published by Thomas Nelson Publishers.

Mary Amendolia Gardner earned her M.A. in Christian Spirituality from Heythrop College, University of London, with a focus on the visual arts and spiritual transformation. She trained for ministry at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford, England and the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. Mary has worked professionally in radio, advertising, government, and church ministry.

John Milton, (1608 – 1674) was an English poet, who served as a civil servant for the Commonwealth of England under its Council of State and later under Oliver Cromwell. He wrote at a time of religious flux and political upheaval, and is best known for his epic poem Paradise Lost, written in blank verse. His career as a writer of prose and poetry spans three distinct eras: Stuart England; the Civil War (1642-1648) and Interregnum, including the Commonwealth (1649-1653) and Protectorate (1654-1660); and the Restoration. John Milton died in England in November 1674. There is a monument dedicated to him in Poet’s Corner in Westminster Abbey in London.

W.E. Sangster, Reverend, William E. Sangster (1900 – 1960), was a British Methodist preacher who was known for calling the Methodist denomination to stick to its Biblical roots during the 20th century rather than cave to religious compromise. He eventually became the pastor of London's Westminster Central Hall in 1939. His sermons were regularly stopped by bombings in London and sometimes he preached through them. In 1949, Sangster was elected leader of the Methodist Conference of Great Britain where he emphasized evangelism and spiritual growth. He was an early supporter of the evangelist Billy Graham when many other clergymen in Great Britain were critical of Graham.
