Series: 2016 Annual Fundraising Banquet
The C.S. Lewis Institute 15th Annual Fundraising Banquet was held on April 14, 2016 Fairview Park Marriott Ballroom in Falls Church, VA.
Our theme for the evening was, “Come Further Up & Further In: Celebrating 40 Years of Heart & Mind Discipleship”. We rejoiced in God’s work over the past four decades, highlighted expanding ministry and prayed for the Lord’s future blessing.
Featured speaker, Oxford professor, author and Christian apologist, Dr. John Lennox, offered an inspiring message encouraging us to stand for Christ with confidence within a decaying culture and an age of relativism. Dr. Lennox is an internationally renowned speaker and heard C.S. Lewis lecture while a student at Cambridge. He has written a series of books exploring the relationship between science and Christianity and he has also participated in a number of televised debates with some of the world’s leading atheist thinkers including Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens.
