Walter Hooper, Author, (1931 – 2020) earned a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served in the U.S. Army for two years between these degrees. In June 1963, he studied at Exeter College’s summer session in England. While there, he met C.S. Lewis in person and over time helped Lewis informally with his correspondence.  After Lewis’s death Walter Hooper assisted with C.S. Lewis’s literary estate. Since then, Hooper edited numerous volumes of Lewis’s writings, as well as published three books of his own on Lewis and his writings. Hooper was awarded the Clyde S. Kilby Lifetime Achievement Award by the Marion E. Wade Center on October 21, 2009.

David C. Downing, Author, is the Co-Director of the Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College in Illinois. He earned his PhD from UCLA and has written four scholarly books on C.S. Lewis: Planets in Peril (1992), The Most Reluctant Convert (2002), Into the Wardrobe (2005), and Into the Region of Awe (2005.) Downing also provided a critical introduction and over 400 explanatory notes to the new edition of C.S. Lewis's The Pilgrim's Regress, originally published in 1933 and reissued by Eerdmans in the Wade Center Annotated Edition (2014). Downing is a consulting reader on C.S. Lewis for the Publications of the Modern Languages Association (PMLA), as well as Christian Scholars Review and Religion and Literature.

Christopher Mitchell, Theologian, (1951 – 2014) was the third director of the Marion E. Wade Center from 1994 to 2013, and the first holder of the Marion E. Wade Chair of Christian Thought at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois. Mitchell was also the Consulting Editor for VII: An Anglo-American Literary Review (now VII: Journal of the Marion E. Wade Center). Prior to coming to Wheaton College he served as a missionary and pastor. He has published several articles including “C.S. Lewis and Authentic Discipleship,” Knowing and Doing (C.S. Lewis Institute, Spring 2011 Issue.) Mitchell received his M.A. from Wheaton College, and a Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where his concentration was Historical Theology with a focus on Jonathan Edwards.

Senior Fellow for Apologetics, CSLIArthur W. Lindsley is the Vice President of Theological Initiatives at the Institute for Faith, Works, & Economics. He has served at the C.S. Lewis Institute since 1987 both as President until 1998 and currently as Senior Fellows for Apologetics. Formerly, he was director of Educational Ministries at the Ligonier Valley Study Center, and Staff Specialist with the Coalition for Christian Outreach. He is the author of C.S. Lewis's Case for Christ, True Truth, Love: The Ultimate Apologetic, and co-author with R.C. Sproul and John Gerstner of Classical Apologetics, and has written numerous articles on theology, apologetics, C.S. Lewis, and the lives and works of many other authors and teachers. Art earned his M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

Allan Josephson, MD, Physician, is Professor and Chief, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Department of Pediatrics with a joint appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is the lead author of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s practice parameter on The Assessment of the Family and has served as the chair of the Family Committee of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is recognized nationally and internationally for his work in religion, spirituality and psychiatry. He recently received the Oskar Pfister Award from the American Psychiatric Association, given to an individual for significant achievement in the study of psychiatry and religion.

Thomas S. Monaghan, is an American entrepreneur who founded Domino's Pizza in 1960. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and owned the Detroit Tigers from 1983 to 1992. He established the Mater Christi Foundation, better known as the Ave Maria Foundation, to focus on catholic education, media, community projects and other charities in 1983. Monaghan dedicated his time and considerable fortune to Catholic causes. A champion of the pro-life movement and other Catholic teachings "to combat the nation's 'moral crisis'", Monaghan has spent hundreds of millions of dollars promoting them.

Dr. John C. Lennox is Professor of Mathematics (emeritus) at Oxford University and an internationally renowned speaker on the interface of science, philosophy, and religion. He regularly teaches at many academic institutions, is Senior Fellow with the Trinity Forum and has written a series of books exploring the relationship between science and Christianity. He holds a number of advanced degrees, including a PhD from Cambridge University. His acclaimed books include Cosmic Chemistry: Do God and Science Mix?; 2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity; and A Good Return: Biblical Principles for Work, Wealth, and Wisdom. Henry F. Schaefer, is the Graham Perdue Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center for Computational Chemistry at the University of Georgia, GA. He is a professing Christian and speaks on topics such as the relationship between faith and science. Armand M. Nicholi (1928-2017), Physician,  was a clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical work and research focused on the impact of absent parents on the emotional development of children and young adults. He was the editor and coauthor of the classic The Harvard Guide to Psychiatry (3rd edition, 1999). He was also a founding board member of the Family Research Council.
