Richard Winter
Physician, Officer US ArmyRichard Winter trained in medicine at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, and then in psychiatry in Bristol. He was also a counselor, teacher, and leader at the English L’Abri and associate pastor of a church in Hampshire before moving to the United States in 1992 to head the counseling program at Covenant Seminary. He is the author of The Roots of Sorrow: Reflections on Depression and Hope (2001); Still Bored in a Culture of Entertainment: Rediscovering Passion and Wonder (2002); Perfecting Ourselves to Death: The Pursuit of Excellence and the Perils of Perfectionism (2005); and When Life Goes Dark: Finding Hope in the Midst of Depression (2012). He continues practicing therapy privately and with the Global Counseling Network.

David Aikman, Author,  journalist and foreign policy consultant working in Washington in several different areas. He is the founding chairman and a board member of Gegrapha, a global fellowship of journalists, and recently a Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C. Some of his books include When the Almond Tree Blossoms (Kindle edition, 2016), Jesus in Beijing: How Christianity is Transforming China and Changing the Balance of Power (second edition 2006) and A Man of Faith: The Spiritual Journey of George W. Bush (April 2004. Aikman was born in Surrey, England, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester College, Oxford. He earned his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Alistair Begg, Pastor, has been the senior pastor of Parkside Church in Cleveland, OH since 1983. Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, he’s a graduate of The London School of Theology, and was also educated at Trent University and Westminster Seminary. In addition to Sunday services at Parkside, Alistair can be heard daily on the Truth For Life radio program. He is the author of several books including, The Hand of God, Made For His Pleasure: Ten Benchmarks of a Vital Faith, Pray Big: Learn to Pray Like an Apostle and Pathway to Freedom: How God’s Law Guides Our Lives.

Lee Strobel, Author, was educated at the University of Missouri (Bachelor of Journalism degree) and Yale Law School (Master of Studies in Law degree). He was a journalist for 14 years at The Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, winning Illinois' highest honor for public service journalism from United Press International. Lee joined the staff of Willow Creek Community Church in 1987 and later became a teaching pastor, eventually moving on to write books and host the national network TV program Faith Under Fire. He is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He has won Gold Medallions for The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith, and The Case for a Creator, which have been made into documentaries distributed by Lionsgate.

Mark Mittelberg, is an author and speaker who focuses in the areas of Christian apologetics and evangelism. He has been Executive Director of Evangelism for the Willow Creek Association. Prior to that, Mark served for seven years as the Director of Evangelism at Willow Creek Community Church. Mark is the author of Building a Contagious Church; co-author with Bill Hybels of the best-seller Becoming a Contagious Christian; contributing editor of The Journey, a Bible for spiritual seekers; and primary author of the celebrated Becoming a Contagious Christian training course, which is now being taught in twenty languages around the world. Mark has a MA in Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
