C.S. Lewis Institute, in the legacy of C.S. Lewis, works to develop wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ who will articulate, defend, share, and live their faith in personal and public life. Founded in 1976 by Dr. James Houston and James R. Hiskey, the Institute provides leading teachers who address important issues of the day from the perspective of Biblical orthodoxy, while also providing discipleship for individuals in small groups.

Patricia Harned, Speaker, is the chief executive officer of the Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI), America’s oldest nonprofit in the ethics & compliance industry. Dr. Harned is an expert on culture change, ethical leadership, and workplace reporting/retaliation. She speaks and writes frequently as an expert on ethics in the workplace, corporate governance, and global integrity. Dr. Harned was selected by Ethisphere Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics in 2007, 2014 and 2015, and was named one of the Top Thought Leaders in Trust in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2020 by the nonprofit organization Trust Across America. Dr. Harned received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh.

Pastor
Alistair Begg, Pastor, has been the senior pastor of Parkside Church in Cleveland, OH since 1983. Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, he’s a graduate of The London School of Theology, and was also educated at Trent University and Westminster Seminary. In addition to Sunday services at Parkside, Alistair can be heard daily on the Truth For Life radio program. He is the author of several books including, The Hand of God, Made For His Pleasure: Ten Benchmarks of a Vital Faith, Pray Big: Learn to Pray Like an Apostle and Pathway to Freedom: How God’s Law Guides Our Lives.

Lee Strobel, Author, was educated at the University of Missouri (Bachelor of Journalism degree) and Yale Law School (Master of Studies in Law degree). He was a journalist for 14 years at The Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, winning Illinois' highest honor for public service journalism from United Press International. Lee joined the staff of Willow Creek Community Church in 1987 and later became a teaching pastor, eventually moving on to write books and host the national network TV program Faith Under Fire. He is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He has won Gold Medallions for The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith, and The Case for a Creator, which have been made into documentaries distributed by Lionsgate.

Mark Mittelberg, is an author and speaker who focuses in the areas of Christian apologetics and evangelism. He has been Executive Director of Evangelism for the Willow Creek Association. Prior to that, Mark served for seven years as the Director of Evangelism at Willow Creek Community Church. Mark is the author of Building a Contagious Church; co-author with Bill Hybels of the best-seller Becoming a Contagious Christian; contributing editor of The Journey, a Bible for spiritual seekers; and primary author of the celebrated Becoming a Contagious Christian training course, which is now being taught in twenty languages around the world. Mark has a MA in Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
