There is evil in the world around us. Broken relationships, injustice, suffering, and death affect every individual. The evil systems of this world, the temptations of our flesh, and the activity of the devil are great enemies of our souls.

But the good news is that Jesus Christ has overcome evil, and God can deliver us. We do not need to be afraid, but we can learn to walk in the power and victory of God through Jesus Christ.

This week we will learn more about Jesus’ power over evil and how God can deliver us from evil too.

Discussion Questions

  • How did evil and demons affect the man in this story? In what ways does evil operate in your community today?
  • Is there anything in your life that is binding you and preventing you from living for God? Sinful thoughts, habits, or addictions?
  • Are you ready to come to Jesus and invite Him to be your Deliverer? Pray for one another in your group.
