Walter Kaiser

Walter C. Kaiser Jr., is distinguished professor emeritus of Old Testament and president emeritus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton and a Masters and a Doctorate of Philosophy from Brandeis University. While pursuing graduate studies at Brandeis, Kaiser became professor and chairman of the Old Testament department at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He served as academic dean, vice president and professor of Old Testament and Semitic languages at Trinity, and professor of Old Testament theology at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he subsequently served as president. Dr. Kaiser has written over forty books, including Toward an Exegetical Theology: Biblical Exegesis for Preaching and Teaching, The Messiah in the Old Testament and The Promise-Plan of God.
