Earl Palmer

Pastor

Earl Palmer (1931 - 2023) an American Presbyterian minister, served in pastoral ministries at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Union Church in Manila, First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley, and The National Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C. Palmer is known for his expositional preaching and teaching style. Palmer has written over 20 books which include, To Run the Race: Paul's Second Letter to Timothy, Trusting God: Christian Faith in a World of Uncertainty and Called to be a People of the Gospel: St. Paul’s New Testament Letter to the Ephesians. Palmer also served on the boards of Princeton Theological Seminary, New College Berkeley, Whitworth University and Regent College.

Jay Kesler, Author, is the former president, Chancellor and current President Emeritus of Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. He is known for both his writings and radio work. Most recently, he served as the Preaching Pastor of Upland Community Church. Dr. Kesler was President of Youth for Christ from 1973–1985 and President of Taylor University from 1985-2000. Dr. Kesler is also the author of nearly 30 books. He graduated in 1958 from Taylor University.

Thomas Howard
Professor
Thomas Howard, a convert to Roman Catholicism, is Professor Emeritus of English at St. John's Seminary and previously an English professor who taught at Gordon College in Massachusetts. He is a highly acclaimed writer and scholar, noted for his studies of Inklings, C.S. Lewis and Charles Williams as well as books including Christ the Tiger (1967), Chance or the Dance? (1969), Hallowed be This House (1976), Evangelical is Not Enough (1984), If Your Mind Wanders at Mass (1995), On Being Catholic (1997), and Dove Descending (2006.) Howard earned his PhD from NYU where his dissertation was on C.S. Lewis’s friend, Charles Williams. A lifelong Lewis scholar, Howard visited Lewis at the Kilns in 1961.
