James M. Houston
CSLI Co-FounderJames M. Houston (1922 – 2026) is a co-founder of the C.S. Lewis Institute. Jim served as a Senior Fellow of the Institute, lecturing at CSLI events over the past five decades. He received his Bachelor of Science and M.A. degrees from the University of Edinburgh and a D. Phil. from Oxford University. He was a University Lecturer at Oxford from 1947 – 1971 where he taught cultural and historical geography. While teaching at Oxford, he met C.S. Lewis and participated in a regular Bible study with him for six years. He is known as one of the “founding fathers” of Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia where he has served as the first Principal, Chancellor and Professor of Spiritual Theology.

Pastor
Peter Jones, is the Associate Pastor at New Life Presbyterian Church in Escondido, CA, Director of truthXchange and Scholar in Residence at Westminster Seminary, CA. He completed his graduate studies at Gordon Divinity School, Harvard Divinity School and Princeton Seminary. He has been addressing what has now become the “spiritual but not religious” movement that has so heavily influenced the upcoming generations. He has authored several books including Stolen Identity (2006), The God of Sex (2006), One or Two: Seeing a World of Difference (2010) and The Other Worldview (2015.)
