Timothy Keller
Pastor
Timothy Keller (September 23, 1950 – May 19, 2023) was the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, NY. He was also chairman and co-founder of Redeemer City to City, which has helped to launch over 200 churches in 35 cities. Keller received his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and DMin from Westminster Theological Seminary. For over twenty years he led a diverse congregation of young professionals that has grown to a weekly attendance of over 5,000. Dr. Keller’s books include The Prodigal God: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith, Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God, The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism and its prequel, Making Sense of GOD: An Invitation to the Skeptical.

Marjorie Lamp Mead, Author, is Associate Director of the Marion E. Wade Center, and Executive Editor of VII: Journal of the Marion E. Wade Center. She has held varied positions at the Wade Center since coming to work at the collection in 1977 soon after receiving her B.A. in English Literature from Wheaton College. She holds an M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Wheaton College. Her published works include A Reader’s Guide Through the Wardrobe and A Reader’s Guide to Caspian (both co-authored with Leland Ryken); C.S. Lewis: Letters to Children; and Brothers and Friends: The Diaries of Major Warren Hamilton Lewis as well as numerous articles, encyclopedia entries, and chapters of books regarding the Wade authors.

Terry Lindvall
ProfessorTerry Lindvall is the C.S. Lewis Endowed Chair in Communication and Christian Thought, and Professor of Communication at Virginia Wesleyan College. He is known as an engaging, thoughtful and humorous speaker. He is a C.S. Lewis scholar and expert in American film and media, seeking to see how theology and film can intersect. He is the author of several books including, Surprised By Laughter: The Comic World of C.S. Lewis. He has served as a U.S. Army Reserve Chaplain and has taught at Wheaton College, The College of William and Mary, and served as President of Regent University. Lindvall earned his MDiv at Fuller Seminary and PhD at University of Southern California.

Thomas A. Tarrants

Thomas A. Tarrants is President Emeritus of the C.S. Lewis Institute. After serving twelve years as president and nine years as vice President, he retired from his position as Vice President for Ministry and Director, Washington Area Fellows Program, with CSLI in June 2019. He holds a Master's of Divinity Degree, as well as a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Christian Spirituality. Tom is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Church Alliance and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. He spends his time writing, mentoring, consulting and traveling. His life story is told in Consumed by Hate, Redeemed by Love, published by Thomas Nelson Publishers.

Joel Woodruff, President, C.S. Lewis Institute, has worked in higher education, “tent-making,” nonprofit administration, and pastoral ministries in Alaska, Israel, Hungary, France, and Northern Virginia. He served as Dean of Students, Chaplain, and Professor of Bible & Theology at European Bible Institute, where he helped train Europeans both for professional ministry and to be Christian leaders in the marketplace. Prior to joining the Institute, he was on the leadership team of Oakwood Services International, a nonprofit educational and humanitarian organization. He is a graduate of Wheaton College, earned his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and has a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. As a Parish-Pulpit Fellow, he studied Biblical Backgrounds & Archaeology in Israel for a year.

Annie Nardone, Author, is a C.S. Lewis Institute Fellow and facilitated the Conversational Apologetics Workshop for the 2019-2020 Year 1 Fellows class. She is passionate about the reintegration of the arts and humanities with theology and the Christian imagination. She holds a master’s degree in Cultural Apologetics from Houston Baptist University and writes for Literary Life and the quarterly magazine, An Unexpected Journal.
