Writing and speaking at the time of the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Author, Os Guinness sees 1989 as a great pivotal point of the 20 th century. The U.S., according to Guinness, is experiencing a crisis of cultural authority. What is at stake is the political order, the economic order as well as the moral order. How the country addresses these issues will determine the fate of the nation.
