Deepened Faith and Lasting Community

I have really enjoyed my year with the CS Lewis Institute and I am already missing the community, structure and real care which was evident for each of the fellows. I particularly enjoyed the Saturday morning talks and discussion time in our groups as they consolidated what I had been reading that month and I found it helpful to hear what others had been learning. I must admit I struggled with the volume of reading and did not complete it all but I am glad I invested the time that I did and I am thankful for my triplet and mentor who spurred me on. God has used the course to help me to trust him more which has brought me greater hope, joy, peace and less fear in my life. I am more convinced head and heart that he is my father who loves me, he listens to me when I talk to him and I can trust him with the outcome, that Jesus was truly amazing, the Holy Spirit is at work within me and that Christianity has the answers to life’s questions (which Rebecca McLaughlin’s book helped remind me). I hope I will continue to stay involved with the community which the institute has in Belfast and that I will read some of the books I missed.. ????
