 Kutafakari kwa Biblia

Read and reflect upon this Bible passage each day for one week. Imagine the story in your head and put yourself in the shoes of the younger son, the older brother, the people watching, and even the father. Read it aloud and share it with others. Throughout the week meditate on the love and grace of God and how the Father receives those who return to Him.

Pray:
Talk to God about what you’ve been learning this week. Pray to God as your Heavenly Father and ask Him to let you experience His love, forgiveness, and embrace.

Sala ya Bwana

Baba Yetu uliye mbinguni,
jina lako litukuzwe;
ufalme wako ufike,
utakalo lifanyike
duniani kama mbinguni.
Utupe leo mkate wetu wa kila siku,
utusamehe makosa yetu,
kama tunavyowasamehe na sisi waliotukosea.
Usitutie katika kishawishi,
lakini utuopoe maovuni.
Kwa kuwa ufalme ni wako,
na nguvu na utukufu hata milele
Amina.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
May your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need,
and forgive us our sins,
as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
And don’t let us yield to temptation,
but rescue us from the evil one.
For yours in the kingdom
and the power and the glory for ever.
Amen.
