An Interview with Decorated NASA Astronaut Barry “Butch” Wilmore
Hear how Astronaut Barry Wilmore flew four different spacecraft, accumulated 464 days in space, and in 2024-25“stranded in space” for nine months aboard Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, all the while growing in awe of God’s creation, his love for people, and faith in his Creator.
Wilmore recently stated, “From my earliest days, I have been captivated by the marvels of creation, looking upward with an insatiable curiosity. This curiosity propelled me into the skies, and eventually to space, where the magnificence of the cosmos mirrored the glory of its creator in ways words can scarcely convey. Even as I ventured beyond Earth’s limits, I remained attuned to the beauty and significance of the world below, recognizing the same intricate design evident among the stars is also woven into the fabric of life at home.”

Life’s Emergency Procedures | Special Edition
A Pocket Checklist for Life by Barry Wilmore & Craig Ziemba
What does a fighter pilot reach for in a dire in-flight emergency? A small pocket checklist packed with critical information for handling fire, failure, or loss of control. Inside that checklist, thousands of pages of technical manuals are distilled into the most vital steps needed to avoid crashing and burning.
Using that same concept, Barry and Craig designed a Pocket Checklist for Life’s Emergencies—a guide for when the unexpected happens and you need the ultimate truth to navigate through.
