C.S. Lewis Institute, in the legacy of C.S. Lewis, works to develop wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ who will articulate, defend, share, and live their faith in personal and public life. Founded in 1976 by Dr. James Houston and James R. Hiskey, the Institute provides leading teachers who address important issues of the day from the perspective of Biblical orthodoxy, while also providing discipleship for individuals in small groups.

Larry Taunton, is a freelance columnist, an author, and the founder and Executive Director of the Fixed Point Foundation, a Christian non-profit dedicated to exploring those ideas that shape culture. In that role, Mr. Taunton has engaged numerous outspoken critics of the Christian faith, including Richard Dawkins and the late Christopher Hitchens. Possessing degrees in history from Samford University (B.A.) and the University of Alabama (M.A.), Mr. Taunton specializes in addressing issues of faith and culture.

Frog Orr-Ewing, is the Chaplain and Missioner at OCCA The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). He earned his B.A. in Theology/Theological Studies University of Oxford, a M.Th., in Applied Theology University of Oxford, and his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)Theology/Theological Studies King's College London. Frog became the youngest incumbent in the country as vicar of All Saints church in Peckham after a curacy at St Aldates Church in Oxford. Despite Peckham’s many challenges, over seven years the congregation witnessed marked growth and breakthroughs in community engagement and mission. Frog was sent in May 2010 to plant Latimer Minster where Frog is the Rector.

Paul Miller, Author, (MDiv, Biblical Seminary) is Executive Director of seeJesus, a global discipleship mission which he founded in 1999 to help Christians and non-Christians alike “see Jesus.” He has books and interactive Bible studies focusing on seeJesus’ core themes: Jesus, love, and prayer. Some titles include Love Walked Among Us, A Praying Life, A Loving Life and J-Curve. Thomas A. Tarrants

Thomas A. Tarrants is President Emeritus of the C.S. Lewis Institute. After serving twelve years as president and nine years as vice President, he retired from his position as Vice President for Ministry and Director, Washington Area Fellows Program, with CSLI in June 2019. He holds a Master's of Divinity Degree, as well as a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Christian Spirituality. Tom is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Church Alliance and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. He spends his time writing, mentoring, consulting and traveling. His life story is told in Consumed by Hate, Redeemed by Love, published by Thomas Nelson Publishers.

Stuart McAlpine

Stuart McAlpine is a teaching fellow at the C.S. Lewis Institute and the founding pastor of Christ our Shepherd Church located on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. He speaks at churches and conferences around the world and lectures for the C.S. Lewis Institute Fellows Program. His most recent book is: Here’s Hoping: Recovering Hope for Heaven and Earth. Stuart has a great knowledge of and love for the works of C.S. Lewis. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Theology from Cambridge University in Great Britain.

Michael Ramsden
Apologist
Michael Ramsden is the founder of The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He spent most of his childhood in the Middle East and later moved to the UK, where he worked for the Lord Chancellor’s Department investing funds. Michael went on to teach jurisprudence at the University of Sheffield, while doing research in law and economics. His passion is to engage with people of all backgrounds and cultures about questions of faith, which he has been doing for over twenty years. He speaks in business, academic, political, and other settings across the globe, ranging from Europe and the Middle East, to Asia and the Americas.
