Wayne Martindale

Professor

Wayne Martindale is Professor Emeritus of English at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, where he has taught courses on C. S. Lewis. Dr. Martindale received his Ph.D. in English from University of California, Riverside (1979). He is the author of Beyond the Shadowlands: C. S. Lewis on Heaven and Hell, co-author of The Soul of C.S. Lewis: A Mediative Journey through Twenty-Six of His Best Loved Writings, co-edited The Quotable Lewis, edited Journey to the Celestial City: Glimpses of Heaven from Great Literary Classics, and has authored numerous chapters and articles on Lewis. Martindale has enjoyed traveling abroad over the years, including visits to England (nine times), Russia (twice), and two summers teaching in China.
