Donald Williams
Author and Scholar
Donald Williams holds a BA in English from Taylor University, an M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a PhD in Medieval and Renaissance Literature from the University of Georgia. An ordained minister in the Evangelical Free Church of America with many years of pastoral experience, he has spent several summers doing pastoral training in East Africa and India for Church Planting International. A past president of the International Society of Christian Apologetics and an internationally known Inklings scholar, he is the author of several books, including Deeper Magic: The Theology behind the Writings of C.S. Lewis and has contributed to numerous articles, poems, and reviews.

Professor
Carl Trueman, Professor, is a Christian theologian and ecclesiastical historian. He was Professor of Historical Theology and Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary, where he held the Paul Woolley Chair of Church History. In 2018 Trueman become a full-time undergraduate Professor at Grove City College, serving as Full Professor in their Department of Biblical and Religious Studies. He has an M.A. in Classics from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Church History from the University of Aberdeen. Trueman has authored or edited more than a dozen books, including The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self, The Creedal Imperative, Luther on the Christian Life, and Histories and Fallacies.

Founded in 1976 by Dr. James Houston and James R. Hiskey, the Institute provides leading teachers who address important issues of the day from the perspective of Biblical orthodoxy, while also providing discipleship for individuals in small groups.

Jim Phillips

Jim Phillips founded the C.S. Lewis Institute in Annapolis, Maryland in 2009 and is currently a Teaching Fellow. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After graduation he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an AV-8A Harrier pilot and in the corporate world as an information technology executive. He received a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology and Religion from the University of Oxford in Oxford, UK, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Studies from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies/Middlesex University in Oxford, UK. Jim is the author of God’s Megathemes: A Grandfather’s Legacy.

Malcolm Guite, Author, is a Life Fellow of Girton College, Cambridge, and writes the weekly Poet’s Corner column for the Church Times. He is the author of several books including Mariner: A voyage with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Love Remember: 40 poems of loss, lament and hope, and David’s Crown: Sounding the Psalms. Guite earned degrees from Cambridge and Durham universities. His research interests include the intersection of religion and the arts, and the examination of the works of J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Owen Barfield, and British poets such as Samuel Taylor Coleridge. He was a Bye-Fellow and chaplain of Girton College, Cambridge and associate chaplain of St Edward King and Martyr in Cambridge.

Darrell Bock
New Testament ScholarDarrell Bock is Executive Director of Cultural Engagement and Senior Research Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Texas (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.), and the University of Aberdeen (Ph.D.). Professor Bock is the author of over 40 books, including well-regarded commentaries on Luke and Acts and studies of the historical Jesus. He was president of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) for 2000–2001, is a consulting editor for Christianity Today, and serves on the boards of Wheaton College and Chosen People Ministries.

Victor Boutros, CEO, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Human Trafficking Institute and President of the Board of Directors. He is a co-founder of the Institute, which was launched in 2015. Prior to his role at the Institute, he served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit and trained law enforcement from different parts of the world on how to investigate and prosecute human trafficking. He is co-author with Gary Haugen of The Locust Effect: Why the End of Poverty Requires the End of Violence. Victor is a graduate of Baylor University, Harvard University, Oxford University, and the University of Chicago.

Board Member
Christine Buchholz, Board Member, serves as the Vice President on the board of directors for Restavek Freedom. She served as the Senior Advisor in the US Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. She led the Office’s efforts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and the Palermo Protocol. This included working closely with the White House to host a summit on human trafficking and publishing a 20th Anniversary Retrospective. She has also worked on anti-trafficking initiatives in Haiti, India and the United States. Christine has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wellesley College, studied at the London School of Economics and earned a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.

Ambassador
John Richmond, Ambassador, has a career that has emphasized the global battle against human trafficking. As a Partner at Dentons Multinational Law Firm, he focuses on the intersection between business and human rights. Before joining Dentons, he served as the U.S. Ambassador to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons from 2018 to 2021. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador, John served as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit, he also co-founded the Human Trafficking Institute. Ambassador Richmond is a writer and frequent speaker on topics of faith, justice, vocation, and parenting and is a Fellow at the C.S. Lewis Institute.

Rosaria Butterfield is a speaker and author of several books including, Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor’s Journey Into the Christian Faith, Openness Unhindered: Further Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert on Sexual Identity, Union with Christ and The Gospel Comes with a House Key: Practicing Radically Ordinary Hospitality in Our Post-Christian World. Rosaria earned her PhD from Ohio State University and was a tenured professor of English at a large university before she came to believe the claims of Jesus Christ. Rosaria is zealous for hospitality, loves her family, cherishes dogs, and enjoys coffee.

Ken Smith, Pastor, in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America and was ordained in what was the Central-Pittsburgh Reformed Presbyterian Church in 1952. He served in the Navy during World War II and is a graduate of Geneva College. He and his late wife, Floy, spent time in pastoral ministry in Pittsburgh, Cyprus, Northern Ireland and Syracuse, NY. He has served on the boards of Wilkinsburg Christian School, Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (RPTS), and Geneva College where he chaired the Board of Trustees for seven years. He has lectured at RPTS and been a faculty member of the Ottawa Theological Hall since its start. He is the author of several books including Learning to be a Family.
