John Wesley
TheologianJohn Wesley, Theologian, was an Anglican clergyman and evangelist, and founder, with his brother Charles, of the Methodist movement in the Church of England. He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University in 1724 and was ordained a priest in 1728. He preached widely in England and the American colonies and trained many lay ministers and itinerant preachers in his reforms to the Anglican tradition.
