Stuart McAlpine, is a teaching fellow at the C.S. Lewis Institute and the founding pastor of Christ our Shepherd Church located on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. He speaks at churches and conferences around the world and lectures for the C.S. Lewis Institute Fellows Program. He has a great knowledge of and love for the works of C.S. Lewis. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Theology from Cambridge University in Great Britain.

Tom Holliday, has been pastor of Alexandria Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA, since 1990. Before coming to Alexandria, he pastored Abingdon Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, VA, for nine years. Tom is a graduate of Covenant College and Covenant Theological Seminary. He loves reading history, playing church softball, and swimming. He is a contributing lecturer for the Fellows Program at the C.S. Lewis Institute in Washington, DC.

Scott Redd
Professor
Scott Redd, is the president and Stephen B. Elmer professor of Old Testament at the Washington, D.C. campus of Reformed Theological Seminary. He completed his doctoral dissertation in the Department of Semitic Language and Egyptian Languages and Literatures at the Catholic University of America. During his doctoral studies, he taught at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, MD, and ministered at Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC. He cares deeply about the teaching of Scripture and its application to all situations in life, particularly in the context of a learning and worshiping community.

Chris Sicks, is pastor of One Voice Fellowship in Northern Virginia. He previously served on staff at Alexandria Presbyterian Church in Virginia for 20 years. He is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary and the author of Tangible: Making God Known through Deeds of Mercy and Words of Truth. Chris worked at Gospel Rescue Mission (homeless shelter and drug treatment program in Washington, DC) and ran a scholarship/mentoring program for inner-city youth. He’s been a newspaper editor, restaurant manager, and Army officer.

Pastor
Steve King served as the Senior Pastor at Cherrydale Baptist Church in Arlington, VA from 1983 to 2019, and Senior Pastor Emeritus from 2019-2022. Steve has a passion to make disciples who love God and people above all else. He hosted Renewing Hope on WAVA 105.1 FM for 26 years, led the Band of Shepherds pastors’ fellowship for 30 years, served on the board of Pioneers International for 26 years, was on the leadership team of One Heart DC and a speaker to C.S. Lewis Fellows. He is the author of Beware the Slow Leaks – eight ways ministry leaders can thrive and finish strong (Salem Books). Steve holds degrees from the University of Georgia (BBA) and Western Seminary (MDiv).

Jesse Johnson
PastorJesse Johnson is the Lead Teaching Pastor at Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, VA. He attended The Master’s Seminary as a student and then later served as a professor. He spent time as Outreach Pastor at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, and as a chaplain for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. Jesse is a graduate of the University of New Mexico (Sociology/Spanish), as well as The Master’s Seminary (MDiv; ThM Systematic Theology). He has edited a number of publications including Fundamentals of the Faith, co-editor of Evangelism in the John MacArthur Pastoral Library Series, and was a contributor to Men of the Word, Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong, and Right Thinking in a Church Gone Astray.
