God and Revelation
In this series of four lectures, Professor Packer looks at the issue of authority; the authority of the bible, the authority of Christ, biblical authority, and the authority of God and Revelation. He begins this first lecture, God and Revelation, by siting the decline in biblical authority, over the past 200 years, by mainstream theologians, stating that God has not only been shrunk, but has been indeed silenced. He discusses, how God through history has spoken to humankind, and continues to speak through both general and special revelation, the authority of the scriptures.
