Understanding and Engaging Today's World
Join Dr. Art Lindsley and the C.S. Lewis Institute as together we explore the concept of “worldview.” Although the word is somewhat new, it describes something as old as mankind. Worldview is simply the intellectual framework through which a person looks at, understands, and relates to the world. Everyone has a worldview, whether he or she is an intellectual or a cave dweller, though few people are aware of having one. Today,
as in other eras, clashing worldviews are struggling to dominate the society in which we live and have a profound impact on human society and personal life. The Bible has a worldview which will form the backdrop of our investigations and the basis on which we evaluate other worldviews.
Through this session we'll get a clearer sense of the thinking and values of the world in which we are called to follow Jesus Christ, and gain a deeper understanding of the postmodern worldview and an effective apologetic for postmodern people.
