J. Mack Stiles, is a pastor of a church in Iraq. He used to work as CEO of Gulf Digital Solutions and general secretary for the Fellowship of Christian UAE Students in the United Arab Emirates. He worked for many years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the United States. Stiles has authored books such as Speaking of Jesus, Marks of the Messenger and Evangelism: How The Whole Church Speaks of Jesus. His passion as a pastor is for the church to be a witnessing community that is intentional and faithful.

William Law, Theologian, (1686 – 1761) entered Emmanuel College, Cambridge in 1705, where he studied the classics, Hebrew, philosophy and mathematics. In 1711 he was elected fellow of his college and was ordained. He resided at Cambridge, teaching and taking occasional duty until the accession of George I, when his conscience forbade him to take the oaths of allegiance to the new government. Thereafter, Law first continued as a simple priest (curate) and when that too became impossible without the required oath, Law taught privately, as well as wrote extensively. His works include A Serious Call to a Devout and Holy Life and A Practical Treatise Upon Christian Perfection.

Jonathan Edwards, (1703 – 1758) was a theologian and revivalist preacher. He is said to have played a critical role in the shaping of the First Great Awakening and shepherded the first revivals in 1733-35 at his church in Massachusetts. He is perhaps remembered by most for his classic sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.” Edwards has authored many books including The End for Which God Created the World, The Life of David Brainerd and Religious Affections.

Gary Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Western Washington University in 1984. He studied under the Christian theologian J. I. Packer at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, receiving a master's degree in 1988 in systematic theology. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, in 2006 in recognition of his contributions made in the field of spiritual formation. Thomas is a regular teaching pastor at Second Baptist Church Houston, the fourth-largest church in the United States in 2013, with over 21,000 in weekly attendance. Thomas is the author of 20 published books. His most notable works include Sacred Marriage, Sacred Pathways, and Authentic Faith.

R. Kent Hughes, Professor, is senior pastor emeritus of College Church in Wheaton, Illinois, and recently retired as professor of practical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hughes is also a founder of the Charles Simeon Trust, which conducts expository preaching conferences throughout North America and worldwide. Hughes is the series editor for the Preaching the Word series including Mark: Jesus, Servant and Savior, which received the ECPA Gold Medallion Book Award for best commentary in 1990 and author and coauthor of many books, including the best-selling Disciplines of a Godly Man. Hughes holds a BA from Whittier College, an M.Div. from Talbot School of Theology, a D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a DD from Biola University.

Thomas Chalmers, Professor of Theology, (1780-1847) held the divinity chair in the University of Edinburgh. At the age of nineteen Chalmers received his license to preach from the University of St. Andrews. After two years of studying mathematics and chemistry he accepted the vacant chair of assistant to the professor of mathematics at St. Andrews. In 1813, his article on Christianity appeared in the Edinburgh Encyclopedia, and his review was published of Cuvier's Essay on the Theory of the Earth. In 1832 he published his Political Economy, and his contribution to the Bridgewater Treatises, On the Adaptation of External Nature to the Moral and Intellectual Constitution of Man. His posthumous works include Daily Scripture Readings and Sabbath Scripture Readings.

Carmelite Nun
Jane de Chantal, Carmelite Nun, (1572–1641) and Catholic saint, founded the religious Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary. Born in Dijon, France, as the daughter of the royalist president of the Parliament of Burgundy. Left a widow at 28, Chantal took a vow of chastity. In 1604, she heard the bishop of Geneva, Francis de Sales, preach the Lenten sermons at the Sainte Chapelle. They became close friends and de Sales became her spiritual director. She worked with de Sales to establish an order of religious sisters who would live and work among the people they served. More than 80 convents were established in Jane’s lifetime.

Arthur W. Lindsley is the Vice President of Theological Initiatives at the Institute for Faith, Works, & Economics. He has served at the C.S. Lewis Institute since 1987 both as President until 1998 and currently as Senior Fellows for Apologetics. Formerly, he was director of Educational Ministries at the Ligonier Valley Study Center, and Staff Specialist with the Coalition for Christian Outreach. He is the author of C.S. Lewis's Case for Christ, True Truth, Love: The Ultimate Apologetic, and co-author with R.C. Sproul and John Gerstner of Classical Apologetics, and has written numerous articles on theology, apologetics, C.S. Lewis, and the lives and works of many other authors and teachers. Art earned his M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

John Wesley, Theologian, was an Anglican clergyman and evangelist, and founder, with his brother Charles, of the Methodist movement in the Church of England. He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University in 1724 and was ordained a priest in 1728. He preached widely in England and the American colonies and trained many lay ministers and itinerant preachers in his reforms to the Anglican tradition. His of many powerful sermons and journal entries are still widely read today.
