Alfred Ells, Author, is an ordained minister and the founder-director of Leaders That Last. As a master coach and leadership consultant, he has helped many pastors, executives, and denominational leaders find and fulfill their calling in Christ. Al also founded or helped establish many Christ-centered treatment programs for individuals, families, and youth, including Samaritan Counseling Services. He earned his Masters of Counseling degree at Arizona State University. Al is also the author of several books, including One Way Relationships, Released to Love and Family Love.

Professor, CSLI Co-Founder, Senior Fellow for Faith and Vocation, CSLIJames M. Houston is a co-founder of the C.S. Lewis Institute.  From its beginning, Jim has served as a Senior Fellow of the Institute, lecturing at CSLI events over the past four decades. He received his Bachelor of Science and M.A. degrees from the University of Edinburgh and a D. Phil. from Oxford University.  He was a University Lecturer at Oxford from 1947 – 1971 where he taught cultural and historical geography.  While teaching at Oxford, he met C.S. Lewis and participated in a regular Bible study with him for six years. He is known as one of the “founding fathers” of Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia where he has served as the first Principal, Chancellor and Professor of Spiritual Theology.

Howard Baker, Professor, joined the faculty of Denver Seminary after serving as an adjunct faculty member. Together with Dr. Bruce Demarest in 1999, he began the Seminary’s certificate program in evangelical spiritual guidance. Currently, Howard is the board chair for The Abbey Colorado and on the faculty of the Soul Care Institute. He earned a BA from Texas Christian University, a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary, a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from St. Thomas Seminary, and a D.Min. in Spiritual Direction from Fuller Seminary. Howard has published articles in Discipleship Journal and Kindred Spirit and books which include Soul Keeping and The One True Thing, a contributor to the Renovare Spiritual Formation Bible and to The Transformation of a Man's Heart.

John R.W. Stott, (1921 – 2011) is known worldwide as a preacher, evangelist and communicator of Scripture. For many years he served as Rector of All Souls Church in London, where he carried out an effective urban pastoral ministry. A leader among evangelicals in Britain, the United States and around the world, Stott was a principal framer of the landmark Lausanne Covenant (1974). His many books, including Why I Am a Christian and The Cross of Christ, have sold millions of copies around the world and in dozens of languages.

Richard Foster is a Christian theologian and author. He is founder of Renovaré (a Christian nonprofit established in1988 to help people in becoming more like Jesus) and served as its president until 2008; he continues to serve in an advisory role. Foster has been a professor at Friends University and pastor of Evangelical Friends churches. He earned his Doctor of Pastoral Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary and received an honorary doctorate from Houghton College. He is possibly best known for his 1978 book Celebration of Discipline, which sold over one million copies. It was named by Christianity Today as one of the top ten books of the 20^th century.

J. Oswald Sanders (1902 - 1992) attended the Bible Training Institute in Auckland and joined its staff in 1926. Sanders served as an instructor and administrator at the Bible College of New Zealand. He became general director of the China Inland Mission and led the reorganization of the CIM into the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. He was instrumental in beginning many new missions projects throughout East Asia. Upon his retirement Sanders wrote prolifically, with many of his over 40 books. One of Sander's most notable works was Heresies Ancient and Modern, later published as Cults and Isms (1962).

John Piper, is a theologian, pastor, and chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Piper taught biblical studies at Bethel University for six years before serving as pastor for preaching and vision of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis for 33 years (1980-2013). He is the author of numerous books which include Desiring God, Future Grace, and his most recent publication, Providence. He attended Wheaton College from 1964-1968 and majored in literature and philosophy. He earned a Bachelor of Divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary and later completed his doctorate in New Testament Studies from the University of Munich, Germany. Through the ‘Desiring God Ministries’ that started in 1994 over 2 billion people around the world have been impacted.

Mike earned his Doctorate from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, a Master of Divinity in Expositional Ministry from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon and a Bachelor Degree in Management from Corban University in Salem, Oregon. Mike has served as the Vice President of Personnel for Missions Door, a global family of ministries with more than 800 churches across the United States and 300 missionaries around the world. He has also served as a professor of theology and evangelism at Western Seminary and Corban University. He is a sought-after conference speaker as well as a frequent writer on leadership, pastoral ministry, and the spiritual life.

Dallas Willard, (1935 – 2013) was a Professor in the School of Philosophy at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles from 1965 to 2012. He was Director of the School of Philosophy from 1982-1985. He also taught at the University of Wisconsin (Madison, 1960-1965), and held visiting appointments at UCLA (1969) and the University of Colorado (1984).  He received his Ph.D. in 1964 from Baylor University and the University of Wisconsin with a Major in Philosophy. Renovation of the Heart was published in May 2002, and received Christianity Today's 2003 Book Award in the category of Spirituality. The Divine Conspiracy was released in 1998 and selected Christianity Today's Book of the Year for 1999.
