Questioning Belief Podcast Host, CSLIKathleen Noller, Ph.D, is host of the Questioning Belief podcast. She is a leading Computational Biologist and specializes in cancer research. Kathleen completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, where her academic journey laid the foundation for her career as a scientist. She holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins University and is passionate about medical research. Kathleen is also a dedicated wife and mother to a one-year-old, balancing her professional achievements with the joys of family life.

Brian Carrier is the Pastor of Discipleship of The District Church, Washington DC. He has a PhD in Biblical Studies from The Catholic University of America, a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Brian supports the mission of discipleship by overseeing Life Groups and Rooted, discipleship classes and retreats, and discipleship language and strategy, along with praying for and sharing life with the church community. He is therefore passionate about The District Church's mission to make disciples who love, think, and act like Jesus. He lives in Silver Spring with his lovely wife and daughter.

Sita Slavov holds a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University and is a professor of public policy at George Mason University. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and policy briefs on economics and public policy. She has also published op-eds in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and wrote an article for Christianity Today in 2023 titled “Unable to find ultimate truth in Zen Buddhism, I turned to Jesus.”

N. Gray Sutanto holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and is assistant professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary, Washington, D.C. He is the author of God and Knowledge, co-author of Neo-Calvinism: A Theological Introduction, co-editor for Herman Bavinck's Philosophy of Revelation, and author of A Sense of the Divine: An Affective Model of General Revelation from the Reformed Tradition. His research interests include Dutch Reformed theologian Herman Bavinck, humanity and sin, and Christianity and culture, among others.

Andy Bannister is an author, speaker, and broadcaster. He is currently the Director of the Solas Center for Public Christianity, an evangelism and training ministry, as well as the Adjunct Research Fellow at Arthur Jeffery Centre for the Study of Islam at Melbourne School of Theology. He holds a PhD in Islamic Studies and has taught extensively at universities across the world on both Islam and Philosophy. Andy speaks regularly on Christianity to audiences of all faiths across Europe, Canada, the US, and further afield. He is an author of several books including: The Atheist Who Didn't Exist, Do Muslims and Christians Worship the Same God? and most recently, How to Talk About Jesus Without Looking Like an Idiot.

Thomas A. Tarrants

Thomas A. Tarrants is President Emeritus of the C.S. Lewis Institute. After serving twelve years as president and nine years as vice President, he retired from his position as Vice President for Ministry and Director, Washington Area Fellows Program, with CSLI in June 2019. He holds a Master's of Divinity Degree, as well as a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Christian Spirituality. Tom is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Church Alliance and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. He spends his time writing, mentoring, consulting and traveling. His life story is told in Consumed by Hate, Redeemed by Love, published by Thomas Nelson Publishers.

Sharon Dirckx is a speaker and author whose work focuses on responding to the spiritual and faith-related questions that people ask today. She speaks and lectures across the UK and internationally, in workplaces, universities, schools, churches and conferences. Sharon’s passion is sharing with others how and why the person of Jesus Christ remains as relevant as ever to the pertinent questions of our time. She wrote the award-winning book entitled: Why?: Looking at God, evil and personal suffering, was the contributor to best-selling author, Lee Strobel’s book and documentary, The Case for Heaven (Zondervan 2021), and most recently wrote Broken Planet, scientifically answering questions about natural disasters. Dirckx has a Ph.D. in brain imaging from the University of Cambridge.

Kevin J. Vanhoozer is the Research Professor of Systematic Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Systematic Theology and the Journal of Theological Interpretation. He earned his M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University. Previously, he served as Blanchard Professor of Theology at Wheaton College and as Senior Lecturer in Theology and Religious Studies at New College, University of Edinburgh. He has edited multiple books, including The Cambridge Companion to Postmodern Theology and Dictionary for Theological Interpretation of the Bible. He is the author of many books, most notably, Is There a Meaning in this Text? and The Drama of Doctrine: A Canonical-Linguistic Approach to Christian Theology.

Peter J. Williams is the Principal of Tyndale House, Cambridge and a Affiliated Lecturer at the University of Cambridge. He earned his M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. at Cambridge University studying ancient languages related to the Bible. Dr. Williams originally planned to become a Bible translator, but after seeing how many students of the Bible did not recognize its authority, Williams decided to change his professional direction and become an evangelical scholar in order to advance confessional scholarship. Dr. Williams is also Chair of the International Greek New Testament Project and a member of the Translation Committee of the English Standard Version of the Bible.

Carolyn Weber holds an M.Phil and D.Phil. from Oxford University and was the first female dean of St. Peter’s College in Oxford. Dr. Weber is an award-winning author, professor and international speaker on the intersection of faith and literature, as well as topics related to women and faith. Her first memoir, Surprised by Oxford, won among other distinctions the Grace Irwin Award, the largest award for Christian writing in Canada, and was made into a feature film in 2023. She has also written Holy is the Day: Living in the Gift of the Present and Sex and the City of God: A Memoir of Love and Longing.

Timothy McGrew
EpistemologistDr. Timothy McGrew is professor and former chair of philosophy at Western Michigan University. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Vanderbilt University and specializes in epistemology, the philosophy and history of science, probability theory, and the history and philosophy of religion. His most recent book is titled Four Views on Christianity and Philosophy. Dr. McGrew authored the article on “miracles” for the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy and has spoken in universities, churches, seminaries, and engaged in many public debates on the meaning of faith, the rationality of belief in miracles, and the historical reliability of the Gospels.
